In order to meet the demand for white carbon products in the Asia Pacific region, the United States PPG Corporation has announced that it will invest more than US$7.0 million to expand the production of silica in China and the Asia Pacific region. Among them, PPG will invest US$1.3 million to upgrade its Nanji company, a joint venture in China, with a new white carbon granulation production line to provide high-quality, low-dust, silica products for the Chinese footwear industry.
