Hydrogen sulfide is a poisonous gas that has the smell of rotten eggs, but in recent years a large number of reports have reported that hydrogen sulfide is the third gas signaling molecule after carbon monoxide and nitric oxide. Hydrogen sulfide is mainly produced by the action of cystathionine-γ-lyase, cystathionine-β-synthase, and 3-mercapto pyruvate sulfur transferase, which has the functions of relaxing blood vessels, regulating blood pressure, inhibiting the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells and low density lipids Protein oxidative modification and other functions, hydrogen sulfide on ischemic cardiomyocytes have a significant protective effect, but also through a variety of ways to reduce myocardial injury. Studies have shown that potassium channels may be involved in the protection of multiple forms of multiple organ ischemia. Hydrogen sulfide, an important gas signaling molecule, has the effect of relaxing blood vessels and increasing blood perfusion, which may be related to the opening of potassium channel. In this paper, a brief overview of the mechanism by which hydrogen sulfide acts on potassium channels to produce vascular effects.
