The long night of the mid-17th century, the Göteborg Variations were often played in the residence of the Dresden Minister of the Russian Empire, Count Hermann Karl Von Keyserlingk, for the sole purpose of helping the count with insomnia Lose the night time, reduce the pain of sleepless nights. The singer is young performer Johan Theophil Goldberg and he is also a student of J.S. Bach, a group he made with him. Nowadays, more than 40 Bach recordings of Gothenburg Variations can be found on the market, so that a rather sad violin teacher does not know where to go and is no longer keen on teaching students to play Bach.
