我认为,当前要全面、有效地发展具有中国特色的社会主义经济,必须首先搞活国营大中型企业。虽然它们的数量,仅占全民所有制企业总数的15%弱,但是其职工人数、固定资产和工业总产值,以及上交利税,却分别占全民所有制企业的60%、70%及80%以上。所以,它们是国家财政收入的主要来源,是我国现代化建设的骨干力量。因此,国营大中型企业的产品质量、品种和产量及其效益的好坏,密切关系着国家财政收入的多少和国家经济状况的好坏。
In my opinion, at present, to comprehensively and effectively develop a socialist economy with Chinese characteristics, we must first revitalize state-owned large and medium-sized enterprises. Although their number is only 15% of the total number of state-owned enterprises, their numbers of workers, fixed assets and industrial output value, as well as profits and taxes, account for 60%, 70% and 80% of those owned by the whole people. Therefore, they are the main sources of state revenue and the backbone of our country’s modernization. Therefore, the product quality, variety and output of state-owned large and medium-sized enterprises and their benefits are closely related to the amount of state financial revenue and the economic status of the country.
