宗教与中国现代化的关系问题是一个具有重大理论意义和现实意义的问题。中国要走向现代化,这是历史发展的必然趋势。宗教在中国还要长期存在,也有其不依人们意志为转移的客观依据。中国的现代化进程,必将进一步引起宗教的深刻变化。宗教在中国的现代化进程中,也将起到应起的社会作用。因此,正确认识和处理好宗教与中国现代化的关系,不仅在理论上能深化当代中国宗教的研究,在现实意义方面也有利于调动一亿多信教群众和宗教界人士投身中国现代化进程的积极性。
The issue of the relationship between religion and the modernization of China is a question of great theoretical and practical significance. China must move toward modernization. This is the inevitable trend of historical development. Religion still exists for a long time in China, and there is also an objective basis for its relocation not according to people’s will. China’s modernization process will surely further arouse the profound changes in religion. In the process of China’s modernization, religion will also play a social role. Therefore, a correct understanding and handling of the relationship between religion and China’s modernization can not only deepen the study of contemporary Chinese religions in theory, but also help to mobilize the enthusiasm of more than 100 million religious and religious figures in the process of China’s modernization in a practical sense.
