龙潭山位于吉林省吉林市东南,松花江东岸,与北山、长蛇山及小团子山合称吉林四大名山。龙潭山海拔388米,全山被近百种120多万株树木所覆盖,其中百年以上的古树130多株,属寺庙风景天然园林。龙潭山以立于西北角山麓—个称为龙潭的秀丽水池而得名。龙潭长约53米,宽约26米,深9米,叠石为堤,水清见底。每当皓月悬空,倒影荡漾湖心,那就是让人流连忘返的“龙潭印月”。龙潭山山势挺拔雄伟、巍峨壮观。
