人工模拟降雨装置,根据它的用途,可分为室内人工模拟降雨装置和野外人工模拟降雨装置两大类。前者在设计、安装等条件方面较后者有许多有利的地方,例如水、电的供给以及装置的结构等均不受地点和运输条件的限制。还有,对一些影响降雨的自然因素,如风、温湿度等可以加以控制,但对于降雨所研究的对象——不同的土壤、地形、坡度、植被,耕作等因素,前者却较后者受到很大的限制;相反,后者更能接近自然状态,直接对其进行研究。
