绪言海军需要一种高强度铝合金,用来制造高速航海船只。1972年4月5日海军提出N 00024-72-R-7445号任务书,对承包者的具体要求是:1、研制一种加工硬化的铝合金板材,焊接状态的最低屈服强度为30 KSi(21kg/mm~2)。2、抗蚀性能和断裂韧性等于或大干现有的5456-H 116或 H 117合金。3、完成下列具体试验;a、测定退火状态和使用状态的纵向与横向的拉伸性能。b、鉴定合金在退火状态和使用状态在静止及流动海水中的普通腐蚀性能。c、用海水乙酸喷雾试验法(SWAAT)进行剥落腐蚀试验。
