周尧和教授,1927年5月生,1950年毕业于清华大学机械系,1957年在苏联莫斯科钢铁学院获副博士学位。现为西北工业大学“凝固技术”国家重点实验室学术带头人之一。他现任国务院学位委员会学科评审组成员,航空航天工业部科技委委员,中国机械工程学会铸造学会理事长,国际铸造学会副主席(按照学会章程,1993年将担任主席),英国《Cast Metals》期刊编委。周尧和教授是国际知名物理冶金学家,在铸造工程、现代凝固理论和新材料制备凝固技术等方面都卓有成就。
Professor Zhou Yaohe, born in May 1927, graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Tsinghua University in 1950 and received an associate’s degree from Moscow Steel Institute of the Soviet Union in 1957. Now Northwest Polytechnic University “Solidification Technology” State Key Laboratory of academic leaders. He is currently a member of the Discipline Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, a member of the Science and Technology Committee of the Aerospace Industry Department, the chairman of Foundry Society of China Mechanical Engineering Society, vice chairman of International Foundry Society (Chairman 1993), Cast Metals Editorial Board Professor Zhou Yaohe is an internationally renowned physical metallurgy scientist who has made great achievements in foundry engineering, modern solidification theory and solidification technology of new materials.
