洪秀全是太平天国农民运动的组织者和领导者,是一个极其复杂的历史人物,他以拜上帝教吹响了太平天国农民运动的号角,也因执迷于拜上帝教而唱起了太平天国农民运动的挽歌,致使太平天国农民运动没能走出旧式农民战争兴也勃焉,亡也忽焉的历史怪圈。在洪秀全身后,对他的评价经历了一个鬼化、神化和人化相交织的过程,洪秀全的历史真面目时隐时现,时真时假,给关注太平天国农民运动的人一种扑朔迷离的感觉。本文从几个关乎还洪秀全历史真面目的关键问题入手,进行客观公正的评价,以期能还其历史真面目。
