9日闭幕的中央水利工作会议是新中国成立以来首次以中共中央名义召开的水利工作会议。会议明确提出,加快水利改革发展,是事关我国社会主义现代化建设全局和中华民族长远发展重大而紧迫的战略任务。这次会议对事关经济发展全局的一系列重大水问题作出安排部署,出台了一系列重大举措推动水利实现跨越式发展。
The Central Water Conservancy Work Conference, concluded on the 9th, is the first water-related work conference to be held in the name of the CPC Central Committee since the founding of People’s Republic of China. The meeting made it clear that speeding up the reform and development of the water sector is a major and urgent strategic task concerning the overall situation of China’s socialist modernization and the long-term development of the Chinese nation. The meeting made arrangements for a series of major water issues concerning the overall economic development and issued a series of major measures to promote leapfrog development of water conservancy.
