荼蘼这种在春华之尾、盛夏之中才灿然盛开的花,因其花期晚而被古人认为是春天诸般花事之尾。宋时的才女吴淑姬曾对着墙头花开灿烂的荼蘼花喟叹:“谢了荼蘼春事休。”在此花最为璀璨的背后,却是一年春韶结束的信号,这让荼蘼花有了些许悲凉迟暮的味道。其实花如此,情亦如此。开到荼蘼花事了,爱至荼蘼情事休。有一种爱情就像这暮春盛夏最后开放的荼蘼花一般,灿烂却意味着一生情动的最后凋谢。
