【Background】 1. June 24, 2012 Shenzhou 9 astronaut successfully piloted spacecraft docking with the Tiangong 1 target aircraft, marking China’s becoming the third country in the world to fully grasp the space rendezvous and docking technology. 2. On June 30, 2012, China’s first self-designed, independently integrated manned submersible “dragon” 7000m (7062m) sea trial was a complete success. 3. From July 6 to July 7, 2012, the National Science and Technology Innovation Conference was held in Beijing. Hu Jintao delivered an important speech at the meeting, stressing that we should vigorously implement the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education and the strategy of strengthening China through human resources and speeding up the building of a national innovation body
