In order to survey the mental health condition among the middle school students and find out the influencing factors .and also provide proof for preventing mental disorders,we se lected 156 students in a countryside middle school using stratified sampling and cluster sampling under the applying SCL-90 questionnaire and EPQ questionnaire. The results showed that the total score of SCL is higher than that of normal group and alsothe single factor score is higher than that of normal group. The main mental health problem includes anxiety,depression, inter personal communication disorder,phobia etc. Through the multiple regression analysis,we found out some main influencing factors such as neurotic character. different class,different sex;the sec ond faciors including exira-personality or inter-personaiity, city or countryside habitant, studying achievements. In concusion. we consider the middle school students in the countryside have much more mental health problems than general youth .and these influeneing factors are the re sults of biological .psychological and social combining.
