In the small town of Bouvival, 14 kilometers from Paris, there is a small two-story building. So far, the building has been termed a “farmhouse” in all the French travel guides and excursions, according to the Russian tradition, though it does not correspond with the name. The name given to it may be due to the lack of the word “villa” in French, but most importantly because the Russian writer Ivan Sergeeuvgrainv had been living here. Turgenev built his own house according to the Russian tradition: a wooden structure with carved decorations and window shutters. This “farmhouse” is located on a steep slope by the Seine. In the lower part of the neighborhood, Paulina Verdor’s house was built with Turgenev for years. Surrounded by a stretch of lush tree garden, so the manor named “Hsieniken.” Turgenev has done a great deal of creative work in Bujumbura. When he conceptualized literary works, he liked to walk alone in the park. He wrote during the day and went home to Villa Aldo at night. He has many friends there.
