For throwing athletes, there were some interesting results from the Olympic qualifier held in 1988 in Indianapolis. In most of the pitfalls I can observe there is a fairly wide difference between the average and the better level throwers. Of course, qualifying is a very successful move, so people should celebrate it. Many throwing athletes are not in good technical and athletic conditions, probably because the qualifiers are too important to them.
