早在上一世纪的 60年代末 70年代初 ,西方尤其是美国已将语法翻译法视为过时的教学法而将其淘汰 ,取而代之的是较为成功的并正在语言教学中广泛应用的交际法。在中国 ,传统的语法翻译法仍在相当范围内使用 ,而现代的交际教学法则因诸多因素在全面推广使用中受到种种限制。本篇文章通过对中西方语言教学的对比 ,从社会文化的角度对两种语言教学法在中西方的应用进行了尝试性的分析与说明。
As early as the late 1960s and early 1970s, the West, especially the United States, had turned grammatical translation laws out of date into teaching methods and eliminated them, replacing them with the more successful communicative approach that is being widely used in language teaching. In China, the traditional method of grammar translation is still used to a considerable extent. However, the modern communicative teaching method is limited in its promotion and use due to many factors. This article attempts to analyze and explain the application of the two language pedagogies in China and the West from the social and cultural perspective through the comparison of Chinese and Western language teaching.
