本文通过心理语言学实验研究了英语单词在英汉双语心理词典中的存储单位。讨论英语单词在英汉双语心理词典中的存储单位实际上就是讨论英语简单词、复合词、派生词和屈折词在英汉双语者大脑中的存储单位。主要调查了三个问题:(1)英语复合词的存储单位是什么?(2)英语派生词的存储单位是什么?(3)英语屈折词的存储单位是什么?通过分别对比受试对英语复合词与其相应的单词素词之间的反应时、英语派生词与其相应的词根之间的反应时及英语屈折词与其相应的原词之间的反应时,我们发现不同类型的单词是以不同的形式存储在双语者的大脑中的:复合词和派生词是以词素的形式存储的,而屈折词则是以整词的形式存储。由此得出结论:在英汉双语心理词典中既有以词素的形式存储的单词,又有以整词的形式存储的单词,英语词汇在汉语学习者的双语心理词典中是混合存储的。
This paper studies the storage units of English words in English-Chinese bilingual mental lexicon through psycholinguistic experiments. Discussion English word storage units in the English-Chinese bilingual mental dictionary is actually to discuss English simple words, compound words, derivatives and inflection words in English and Chinese bilingual brain storage unit. Mainly investigated three questions: (1) What is the unit of English compound words? (2) What is the unit of English derivative? (3) What is the unit of English words? By comparing the English compound words And their corresponding single morphemes, the reaction between English derivations and their corresponding roots, and the reaction between English inflection words and their corresponding original words, we find that different types of words are in different forms Stored in a bilingual brain: Compound words and derivatives are stored as morphemes, while inflection words are stored as whole words. It is concluded that there are both words stored in the form of morphemes and words stored in the form of whole words in English-Chinese bilingual mental lexicon. English words are mixed and stored in Chinese learners’ bilingual mental lexicon.
