热气泉是地热在地球表面显露的特殊形态,全国实属罕见。甘孜热气泉是四川省唯一的热气泉,位于甘孜县拖坝镇西南1.5公里、处于雅砻江河谷左侧一级阶地前缘,海拔3365米。湿热的气体从地下蒸腾而出,温度高达98.0℃,当地沸点为90.0℃,经过漫长的冒气活动,地表造就数十个冒气坑,集中出露于长约25米,宽约5米不规则地带里。由于冒气强弱程度不同,故各自形成的冒气坑大小也不一样,其中有6个坑规模较大,一般坑口直径在0.2～0.5米间,深0.3～0.7米间。又因水蒸气冷凝后
