A recent study released by Wake Forest University in North Carolina shows that beet juice supplementation can improve the cognitive performance of the elderly by boosting the energy of new neural connections in the brain while enhancing performance. In the study, the researchers recruited 26 seniors 55 years and older, were randomly divided into two groups, a group of drinking beet juice, which contains 560 mg of nitrate; the other as a control group, the beverage contains a small amount of nitric acid salt. Drink 3 times a week for 6 weeks, all participants did not exercise, did not take high blood pressure drugs. The findings show that participants in the supplementation group
