安妮·恩赖特是当代爱尔兰最优秀的作家之一。她的小说继承传统,其主题、意象和叙事手法等与爱尔兰文学传统一脉相承。同时,她的小说又具有鲜明的个人特色。面对爱尔兰文学传统的无形压力,恩赖特以其女性视角和女性经验,消解了爱尔兰文学传统中的男性话语,建构了新的爱尔兰文学属性,其作品体现了女性主义、超现实主义与后现代主义等不同派别的艺术特征。

Anne Enright is one of the best writers in contemporary Ireland. Her novels inherit the tradition, and their themes, images and narrative techniques are the same as the Irish literary tradition. At the same time, her novels have distinct personal characteristics. Faced with the invisible pressure of Irish literary tradition, Enright dispels the male discourse in Irish literary tradition with his female perspective and female experience, constructs new Irish literary attributes. His works embody feminism, surrealism and post- Modernism and other different artistic features of the faction.
