黄钟——潮汕地区文教战线优秀的共产主义战士、为党培育革命英才的教育家,我永远思念的令我尊敬的老师。 1947年7月中旬,我从汕头市聿怀中学高中毕业,在普宁洪阳县城小住数日以后,就独个儿步行到揭阳棉湖镇新湖乡湖东村。当时,黄钟老师住在公屋的二层楼上,邻近一间破旧的砖屋才是他的住家。我先去他家,拜望老师的母亲。进门一见,真是家贫如洗啊!四壁萧然,空荡荡的一间屋,仅有他母亲睡的一张木床,一、二张矮木椅子,简单的炉具,一些碗筷。他骨瘦如柴的母亲,正在燃煮一小锅稀粥。如此贫寒的家境,使我黯然下泪。 然而,就是在这样艰苦的条件下,黄钟老师常年为培育国家英才而奔走四方。
