2013年,可能也被称为大数据的一年;2014年,小数据非但不是旧趋势,反而可能对企业更有用得多。大数据那种揭露关键隐藏模式的前景非常诱人,但想真正利用大数据,需同时具备大量的时间、资源、计算能力、判断力——几乎成了一个美丽的泥潭。而一部分的小数据,比如客户中是否存在人口模式,实际已是第三方提供的大数据的消化结果——它们朴实易用,且不会消耗企业的珍贵资源。
In 2013, a year that may also be called big data; in 2014, small data is more than an old trend but may be more useful to businesses. The prospect of big data exposing the key hiding pattern is very tempting, but if you really take advantage of big data, you need to have plenty of time, resources, computing power, and judgment - almost a beautiful quagmire. And small pieces of data, such as the demographics of customers, are in fact the result of big data digests provided by third parties - simple and easy to use, without consuming the company’s valuable resources.
