在7月刊《Fermi后续》专题上,我们深入地讨论了基于Fermi的GF100核心的优势以及超前性。并且也探讨了Cypress架构的特点所在,从中我们得知Fermi在性能功耗比以及晶体管性能比的优势,当中最深刻的变化是前所未有的通用性能。不过庞大而且设计超前的Fermi-GF100在40nm上遇到挫折,高温以及高功耗使它的处境十分尴尬。同时,基于GF100的GTX480/470价格高高在上,似乎和普罗大众无缘。不过,GTX465发布不久,我们就迎来了NVIDIA面向主流的核心GF104。在NVIDIA敲开DX11大门的数个月后,GF104声势浩大地到来,接下来,我们去看看基于GF104的GTX460究竟带来了什么深刻的变化。
In the July issue of Fermi Follow-Up, we discussed in depth the benefits and advancements of the Fermi-based GF100 core. And also discussed the characteristics of the Cypress architecture, where we learned that Fermi’s performance-to-power ratio and transistor performance ratio advantages, the most profound change is the unprecedented general-purpose performance. However, large and forward-looking Fermi-GF100 encountered setbacks in the 40nm, high temperature and high power consumption makes it very embarrassing situation. At the same time, based on the GF100 GTX480 / 470 prices high, it seems that the general public missed. However, GTX465 release soon, we have ushered in the core of mainstream NVIDIA GF104.
