美国EMD公司正在对其供给欧洲市场的66型内燃机车进行重新设计,新设计的机车被命名为66EU型。文中简要介绍了EMD公司对现有66型机车进行重新设计的原因和动机,并简述了新的66EU型机车较之现有66型机车的主要设计改变及其主要技术特点和技术参数。
The U.S. EMD is redesigning its 66 diesel locomotive for the European market. The newly designed locomotive is named Model 66EU. The paper briefly introduces the reason and motivation of EMD company to redesign the existing 66 locomotive and briefly introduces the main design changes and main technical features and technical parameters of the new 66EU locomotive compared with the existing 66 locomotive.
