我们厂有很多老式机床,为了发挥这些机床在生产中的应有作用,经过有关部门的努力,把原有皮带传动的车床(花盘直径在60～100公厘范围内,转速每分钟300转左右),改装成齿轮箱传动,但都没有刹车装置(无论是电气的或是机械的)。所以在停车后还要空转很长时间,才慢慢地停下来,这样就有很多有效工时白白地浪费掉了。如果用手去阻止花盘转动,那就更容易发生人身事故。青年技术员程兆春同志改进一种机械刹车装置,用在这些车床上,效用很好,既简便,又可靠。
