Since the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, our province’s sci-tech periodicals have flourished and played an active role in promoting scientific and technological progress and economic prosperity in the entire province and in China. In order to check the quality of sci-tech periodicals in recent years, summarize the experience of exchange and publication and promote the further development of sci-tech periodicals, Sichuan Science and Technology Commission and Sichuan Press and Publication Administration jointly decided to convene “Sichuan Province sci-tech periodical display, review and commendation conference.” The assembly was held in Chengdu from July 16 to July 20, 1990.
