2005年上半年,东周派出所在街道党工委和分局党委的正确领导下,坚持以“三个代表”重要思想为指导,以全国“二十公”和全省“十九公”会议精神为指引,牢固树立立警为公、执法为民的理念,以分局提出的“六个规范、十二讲”正规化建设为契机,坚决贯彻落实街道“一号工程”实施方案的工作要求,坚持严打不动,有效维护了辖区政治稳定和社会安宁。工作中,该所积极探索,坚持严打高压态势,同时,加强基层基础工作,大力推进社区警务建设,加大围合式小区的创建力度,有力地促进了防范工作。从2004年12月26日至2005年6月26日,该所共立刑事案件422宗,与2004年同期的660宗同比下降36%。破获各类刑事案件126宗,其中破获命案4宗,命案破案率达100%。抓获违法犯罪嫌疑人375名,其中刑拘102人,治安拘留169人,强制戒毒35人,罚款61人,劳动教养4人,收容教育4人,打掉团伙12个。查扣嫌疑汽车61
