大庆喇萨杏油田开采了40年,已经进入高含水开采后期。该油田属于典型的河流-三角洲沉积砂岩油田,非均质性严重,油藏水侵程度不均匀,剩余油分布复杂,但它的开发潜能很大。为了开采厚油藏中的剩余油,目前采取了选择性射孔、定位压裂、填充钻井、聚合物驱等方法,然而,在垂直井上使用这些方法并不能将厚油藏内的剩余油完全开采出来。基于水平井650m处的水平段产量达到100t/d的成功例子,运用侧向加积夹层预测技术,通过详尽的油藏描述和精确的剩余油描述避免了水平井的水侵,优化了水平井射孔技术。这表明,在喇萨杏油田钻水平井能够提高特高含水率的河道砂岩油藏的石油产量。
