路基和路面是道路的主要工程结构物。路基是在天然地表面按照道路的设计线形和设计横断面的要求开挖或堆填而成的岩土结构物。路面是在路基表面的行车部分用各种混合料铺筑而成的层状结构物。路基是路面结构的基础,坚强而又稳定的路基为路面结构长期承受汽车载荷提供了重要的保证,而路面结构层的存在又保护了路基,使之避免了直接承受车辆和大气的破坏作用,长期处于稳定状态。
Subgrade and pavement is the main engineering structure of the road. Subgrade is a geotechnical structure that is excavated or piled on a natural surface according to the design line of the road and the design of the cross section.
