眼下,台湾经济筹划者正竭尽全力在 亚太地区的多种服务业领域里觅求合适位置。随着台制造业及出口增长放缓,对这些筹划者来说,当务之急是:使出新招。 过去的10年中,台经济发展情况一直被全球夸为一个从赤贫跃为暴富的飞跃。在60年代,台以菠萝出口地闻名于世,而今,在华人占多数的地区或国家中,经济繁荣的台湾在高技术方面已成为强者。虽然台经济在1995年会稳步增长,但过去使其获得成功的套路现在需彻底检查。台以先进的制造技能著称,而现今一头扎进服务业,这意味着台力图在其相对无经验的领域参与角逐。
Right now, economic planners in Taiwan are doing their utmost to find a suitable place in various service industries in the Asia Pacific region. With Taiwan’s manufacturing and export growth slowing down, it is imperative for these planners to make new moves. Over the past 10 years, Taiwan’s economic development has been boasted by the world as a leap from poverty to riches. Taiwan was famous for its pineapple exports in the 1960s. Nowadays, Taiwan, a prosperous economy, has become a strong man in high technology in the Chinese-dominated regions or countries. Although Taiwan’s economy will grow steadily in 1995, the routines that have made it successful in the past are now subject to thorough examination. Taiwan is known for its advanced manufacturing skills, and now plunges into the service sector, which means that Taiwan is trying to compete in its relatively inexperienced area.
