我认为,党的思想教育工作使用“思想政治工作”这一概念并不合适。从我见到的材料看,“思想政治工作”这一概念,是我们党的领导人在50年代中期提出来的,在此之前经常使用“政治教育”、“思想教育”、“思想工作”、“政治思想教育”、“政治思想工作”等提法。“思想政治工作”概念的提出和使用,是同50年代的特殊历史背景分不开的。从建国初期开始,我们党在思想理论战线开展了一系列斗争,如对电影《武训传》的讨论和批判,对“红楼梦研究中的资产阶级唯心论”的批判,对胡风文艺思想的批判等等。当时,在思想理论战线开展积极的思想斗争是必要的。但是,我们在进行这种思想斗争的过程中,在一定程度上混淆了
