When the usual bombing and conventional weapons battle, the impact injury is not uncommon. Under the conditions of nuclear war, the impact injury is more common. In the Second World War, Japan reported 70% of the wounded people were injured in an atomic bomb attack and 60% of the early deaths were caused by impact injuries. This shows that impact injury has become an important research topic in preventive medicine. In order to better implement Chairman Mao’s great teaching on “war on aggression in particular against atomic bomb” and “great preparation from now on,” medical personnel should be familiar with the diagnosis and treatment of nuclear weapon damage. Therefore, this paper tries to give a brief introduction of the general knowledge of impact injury, and then gives a focused discussion on the diagnosis and treatment of impact injury under the conditions of nuclear war for the reference of military health workers.
