The “spiritual philosophy” movement in France is an idealistic movement of philosophy, which has universal character. This movement began in the 1930s and became popular around about 20 years before and after World War II. From the very end of World War I, the various French philosophical idealists fought against conflicts such as nature and freedom, understanding and behavior. The “Spiritual Philosophy” movement also solves these contradictions on its own. La Vail, the advocate of the movement, tried to solve the contradiction between nature and freedom. Another advocate, Le Saina, studied Philosophy of Action in an effort to resolve the contradiction between understanding and behavior. In a certain sense, the “spiritual philosophy” movement is another new “philosophy of suffering” movement. But it is impossible to come up with a clear theory of the immense problems of theory and practice of human speculation. The truth and value it claims to claim can only be obtained by following the scientific path of standing on the materialist point of view.
