The coral is a type of bed coral that is common in the Ordovician-Silurian strata, characterized by the coral-like coral complex, with a wide geographical distribution and a long history of research. However, different scholars have different understanding of the taxonomic significance of their skeletal structure features, making the definition and scope of many genera in the taxa long-term controversial. Based on the published materials in our country, this paper briefly discusses the classification of the coral reefs. Based on whether there is a pricker next door, the corals are divided into two genera, Catenipora and Quepora. They are considered as the synonym of the former and the latter respectively. The method of cluster analysis is used to revise the species of coral in China.
