Turkey is a West Asian country with an area of less than 800,000 square kilometers and a population of only about 40 million. But it borders the Black Sea to the north, the Aegean Sea to the west, and the Mediterranean Sea to the southwestern coast. Its geographical location is very important and it is strategically located in the international communications trunk line. Turkey’s government and telecom companies particularly value the construction of submarine cable systems. Now the system is divided as follows. (1) EMOS-1 This is the first submarine cable in the Eastern Mediterranean. Connect with Israel, Greece, Turkey and Italy. July 1991 was completed and opened.
