The application of hot metal desulphurization pretreatment and molten steel refining technology in WISCO is briefly described. Both hot metal desulphurization and molten steel refining have reached first-class level at home and abroad. The out-of-furnace treatment has become an important and indispensable means of producing high quality clean steel.
