宁夏是我国陆地面积最小的省区,且工业化、城市化、农业产业化起步晚,原始积累不足,基础薄弱,招商引资滞后,外向拉动作用不强。产业结构不合理已经成为宁夏经济快速健康发展的突出制约因素。在实施西部大开发中,自治区党委,政府提出了“西部大开发,宁夏要争先”的奋斗目标,在国内外市场发生巨大变化和我国加入世界贸易组织的新形势下,针对全区经济发展存在问题,十分重视加快产业结构调整,就是以区内优势资源为依托,以市场为导向,以科技为支撑,努力把资源优势转化为经济优势,把潜在优势转化为外部优势,把民族特色优势转化为市场竞争优势,逐步形成具有宁夏区域特色的产业结构。宁夏特色优势产业发展制约性因素还有许多,企业不断的调整和创新会让宁夏特色优势产业的发展迎来美好的明天。
