1979年5月在意大利帕多瓦,国际地科联(IUGS)火成岩委员会(Systematies of Igneous Rocks——SIR)在其主席A.Streckeisen(瑞士)教授主持下开了一次会,参加会议的有美国、苏联、英国、澳大利亚、波兰、匈牙利、阿根廷、意大利、法国等国的科学家。会议主要讨论了火山岩,特别是火成碎屑岩的命名问题,这个问题一直是向全世界征询意见的一个题目。会议同意火成碎屑和火成碎屑堆积物的分类,应以非岩石成因特征为基础。
In May 1979 in Padua, Italy, the Systematies of Igneous Rocks - SIR held a meeting under the chairmanship of its Chairman, A. Streckeisen (Switzerland), with the participation of the United States , The Soviet Union, Britain, Australia, Poland, Hungary, Argentina, Italy, France and other countries scientists. The meeting mainly discussed the naming of volcanic rocks, especially pyroclastic rocks, which has always been a topic for seeking advice from all over the world. The meeting agreed that the classification of pyroclasts and pyroclastic debris should be based on the genesis of non-petrogenesis.
