吴其氵睿（１７８９——１８４７）是清代集状元、封疆大吏和科学家于一身的著名人物。他在从政生涯中，为官廉洁开明，体恤民情，有“洁己奉公”之誉。他在科学活动中的贡献更是蜚声中外：他的著作《植物名实图考》，把中国传统植物学发展到了高峰；《滇南矿厂图略》，被誉为“中国古代采矿名著”；《治淮上游论》一文，提出了颇有创见的治水方略。他将作为一位博学多识的科学家而名垂史册
Wu Qirui Rui (1789--1847) is a famous poet in the Qing dynasty, a champion and a scientist. In his career as a politician, he was open-minded and considerate of the public and had a reputation of “self-serving”. His contribution to science activities is even more famous both at home and abroad. His book “The Test of Plant Names and Real Images” has brought the development of traditional Chinese botany to a peak. “Yunnan Dumpling Plant” is praised as “Famous Ancient Mining in China” ; “Treatise on Huai upstream theory,” a text, put forward quite a creative water control strategy. He will be remembered as a learned scientist
