The third session of the Standing Committee of the Third National People’s Congress decided to set up the Ministry of Light Industry of the People’s Republic of China. The former Ministry of Light Industry of the People’s Republic of China was renamed the Ministry of Light Industry of the People’s Republic of China. The State Council was approved to revoke the Central Handicraft Industry Management.
