根据20世纪末畅销书作家罗伯特·詹姆斯·沃勒同名小说改编拍摄的电影《廊桥遗梦》和19世纪末美国小说家凯特·肖邦的《觉醒》讲述的都是女主人公发生婚外恋的伦理爱情小说。两位女主人公都从叫“罗伯特”的情人身上找到了久违的浪漫激情与“本我”的灵魂。她们都在家庭、爱情、性及母爱职责之间痛苦徘徊,最终做出了不同的选择,也就选择了不同的结局。她们同在必然之中,异在偶然之中。她们是同一种社会事态的两个践行者,又是跨一个世纪的两个“睡美人”。在经历过同样的“觉醒”后,一个是用死亡来抗争,一个是用生存来超越。本文立足两篇相隔近一个世纪的小说文本,结合时代背景,分析女主人公爱德娜和弗朗西斯卡的不同选择和最终结局,论证后者理性而合乎伦理道德的好选择,构架了一种优雅,赢得了人们的同情和敬慕。
According to the movie “Catch Bridges” and the “Awakening” of American novelist Kate Chopin, adapted from the best-selling author Robert James Waller of the same eponymous novel in the late 20th century, all these are ethical love novels about the extramarital affair of the heroines. Both of the heroines found the long-lost romance and soul of “self” from the lover named “Robert”. They are painfully wandering between family, love, sex and maternal duties, ultimately making different choices and choosing different outcomes. They are in the inevitable, different by accident. They are two practitioners of the same social situation, and they are two “Sleeping Beauty” over a century. After experiencing the same “Awakening,” one is fighting death and the other is surpassing survival. Based on two novel texts separated by nearly a century and based on the background of the times, this article analyzes the different choices and the final results of the heroines, Edna and Francesca, and demonstrates the rational and ethical good choice of the latter. It constructs an elegant, Won the sympathy and admiration of people.
