The focus of this paper is to replace or reduce the use of common fuels (natural gas, fuel oil, liquefied petroleum gas and electricity) in residential buildings with woodfuel. The non-linear regression is used to calculate the normal fuel consumption for space heating and the consumption of woodfuel that replaces normal fuel with a woodfuel heating system. After 5682 residential units replaced conventional fuel with woodfuel, natural gas saved 80 trillion BTU, saving 70 trillion BTU, saving 60 trillion BTUs of fuel oil, and saving 60 trillion BTU of liquefied petroleum gas for a total savings of 3 billion U.S. dollars. General fuel is replaced by the situation is divided into three categories: (1) the main fuel, supplemented by wood fuel. (2) Wood-based fuel, supplemented by ordinary fuel. (3) Wood fuel is the only fuel.
