20世纪后半叶西方文学、文化理论经历了从高潮到低潮的发展过程 ,目前反理论的思潮日盛 ,成为学者们关注的话题。本文概述了西方理论家对理论现状的评价 ,介绍了反理论的主要观点 ,分析了该现象产生的表面和深层次的原因 ,认为回避人类当前面临的重大问题是理论陷入困境的重要原因 ,但是理论不会走向死亡。理论将以不同的形式出现 ,关注被其忽视的艺术手法和审美问题 ,关注新生代、少数民族和流散文学 ,以及将文学性运用到其他媒体的现象和文化生产的方式。理论家在新形势下将通过跨学科、跨媒体和跨艺术的思考提出新的理论观点 ,创造出新的理论流派。
The second half of the twentieth century Western literature and cultural theory has experienced from the climax to the ebb of the development process, the current trend of anti-theory flourishing, has become a topic of concern to scholars. This article gives an overview of the Western theorists’ assessment of the status quo of the theory, introduces the main points of the anti-theory, analyzes the surface and deep-seated reasons for the phenomenon, and argues that avoiding the major problems currently facing man is an important reason why the theory is in trouble. Theory does not go to death. Theory will appear in different forms, paying attention to the art practices and aesthetic issues that are neglected by it, paying attention to the new generation, ethnic minorities and diaspora literature, and the ways in which the literature is applied to other media phenomena and cultural production. Under the new situation, theorists will come up with new theoretical perspectives through interdisciplinary, cross-media and cross-art thinking to create new theoretical schools.
