范旭东企业集团是20世纪上半叶中国最大的化工集团之一,在生产效益和企业科研方面都取得了显著成绩,同时在环境意识和实践方面也做了可贵的探索。最初,范旭东企业的环境意识是循着中国传统的循环经济的环境思想路径展开的,注重废物利用,并体现在其副产物的生产上。范旭东企业的环境意识表现为对效益的追求和对人的生命安全的关怀,一方面从生活上尽量创造条件保证员工的健康,另一方面则注重生产环境的卫生和安全。范旭东企业的环境意识还体现了一定的社会责任感,注重工厂的生产与社会环境的协调,并且开始关注工业废水的处理问题。范旭东企业集团的环境意识具有显著的古今中西环境观交汇的特征。
Fan Xudong Group is one of the largest chemical groups in China in the first half of the 20th century. He has made remarkable achievements both in production efficiency and in enterprise research. He also made valuable exploration in environmental awareness and practice.
