有人认为,调整高考英语分值有助于提高学生的学习效率,减轻课业负担。因为目前中国学生从小学到大学,都在英语学习上花费了大量时间,甚至超过了母语,但效果不佳,得不偿失。还有人认为,现在城乡教育资源配置不均衡,农村英语教师紧缺,水平也不如城市,这对农村学生不公平。降低英语分值,有助于促进教育公平。第三种观点是,从传承文化的角度考虑,降低英语分值,增加语文分值,可以引导学生将更多的时间和精力用于民族文化的学习。但笔者却对上述调整英语分值的理由,感到难以理解。如果单纯以对学生是否有用为标准,来决定中学科
Some people think that adjusting English scores for college entrance examination helps to improve students’ learning efficiency and reduce the burden on homework. Because at present, Chinese students spend a great deal of time studying English even from primary schools to universities, even surpassing their mother tongues, but their effects are not good enough and they are not worth the candle. Still others think that nowadays the allocation of education resources in urban and rural areas is not balanced, rural English teachers are in short supply and the level is not as good as that of cities, which is unfair to rural students.
