美国最近给中国投资者传递了令人费解的信号。2013年10月10日,历经了美国海外投资委员会(Committee on Foreign Investmenttin the United States以下简称CFIUS)t120天的审查、投票后,双汇国际在中国香港宣布以71亿美元成功收购美国史密斯菲尔德食品公司。后者为美国主要的生猪生产商,消息一出,太平洋两岸媒体争相报道。而就在前一天,华盛顿联邦法院驳回了三一重工对CFIUS和美国总统奥巴马的起诉。
The United States recently sent puzzling signals to Chinese investors. On October 10, 2013, following the review of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (hereinafter referred to as CFIUS) for more than 120 days, Shuanghui International announced the successful acquisition of U.S. Smith with a total investment of 7.1 billion U.S. dollars in Hong Kong, China Field Food Company. The latter is a major producer of pigs in the United States. As the news came out, the media across the Pacific competed for coverage. Just the day before, the Washington Federal District Court dismissed Sany’s prosecution of CFIUS and U.S. President Barack Obama.
