The United Nations recently published a study that sent an alarm to the world about the shortage of freshwater resources. The report said that water scarcity will seriously restrict the economic and social development in the next century and may lead to conflicts among nations. The report, entitled “A comprehensive assessment of the world’s freshwater resources.”
