光盘出版物由问世到蓬勃发展,是否称得上“光盘革命”尚待观察。然而光盘即将进入出版主流,却是不争的事实。世界上知名的出版界大户,已首先抓住其储存量大及检索方便等许多特性,出版了许多工具参考书的光盘版。而其它较小但勇于创新的出版社却早巳尝试出版传统定义下的“书籍”以外形式的出版物。 在出版流通的演进史中,光盘即将造成的冲击是无法避免的。人类思想得以快速及大量传播,电脑及通讯网络的出现,进一步强化了资料的流通及时效
It is yet to be seen whether CD-ROM publications are flourishing from the advent of the CD-ROM or not. However, the CD is about to enter the mainstream of the publishing industry, but it is an indisputable fact. The world’s major publishing industry big, has first seized its large storage capacity and easy retrieval and many other features, published many tools reference book CD version. Other smaller but innovative publishers have long attempted to publish publications outside the traditional definition of “books.” In the evolution of publishing circulation, the impending impact of CD-ROMs is unavoidable.
