At the G-7 Summit held in Houston in July 1990, Japan’s speech pointed out the importance of grasping the timing of China’s economic development. Since the Tiananmen Square incident in June 1989, Japan has shrugged off the criticism of all countries, especially Europe, in the ongoing sanctions against China and has decided to resume the loan to China. Since April 1990, the Japanese government and the Liberal Democratic Party have successively visited China. At the end of August, Prime Minister Kim Tae-moon visited China. In September, former Prime Minister Takeshita was sent to China as a Japanese special envoy. In late September, the Asian Games opened in Beijing. In the autumn of the same year, people’s topics will be concentrated in China once again revealing their own trophies. However, I look at China in another sense. That is when the Chinese economy will begin to take off in the 1990s.
